Admission in CBSE school starts in the month of May every year. According to the academic guidelines, if your children fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be discarded for entrance to respective CBSE schools. However, you and your children must keep a regular update on the website of CBSE to check the latest admission guidelines if there is any change. For instance, your children should be assigned sequential numbers based on admission and keep this number throughout their schooling career after admission. Let’s check the procedures for admission to CBSE school in the session 2022-23.
Guidelines for the admission in CBSE school
Like other boards, admission for class nursery to IX under the CBSE board has some general rules. It goes through the procedure where equivalent qualifications and documents are required, like transfer certificates and passing certificates from the previous school. It is also mandatory for your children to score passing marks to qualify for the admission test. Let’s see the guideline for CBSE school admission 2022-23
Your children must clear their qualifying courses from any state board, or any other board approved or recognised by the Government to become eligible. If your children come from any education board not authorised by the Government, they are not eligible to get admission in CBSE school.
The age of your children should be compatible with the class they are applying for.
Your children must qualify for the admission examination with at least minimum passing marks.
